Welcome to my new site.

During the past weeks, a lot of hard work has been going on in the background on a nice website. I myself have mainly been working hard in the swimming pool. Last weekend the European Championships team left for Berlin, where the European Championships will be held from 18 to 24 August.

I have decided to take another route and invest in the future. After a turbulent season it was time to take a rest and I am now once again fully on the Road to Rio. I will continue training in the Netherlands throughout the month of August.

In the past few weeks I have tested many things in the swimming pool, such as technique, starting, turning, finishing. But I have also done some jumping tests on dry land, as well as cycle tests, lactate tests, you name it! A lot of useful information came out of those tests and, as a result, I have made a plan for the coming period. So no summer holiday for me yet. I don’t mind. With these summer temperatures I can always cool off in the swimming pool!
